As a Dietitian, my passion lies in helping individuals to liberate themselves from eating disorders, disordered eating and negative body image.

Areas of focus within my practice include:
Nutrition Support for: Anorexia, Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder (BED) and Disordered Eating (OSFED)

Client Intake Criteria
12+ years of age (parental consent required for those under 18)
Medically stable enough to receive out-patient treatment
Ready, willing, and able to dive into eating disorder recovery work
Team-based treatment: receiving additional medical monitoring from a physician and support from a mental health professional (i.e. Psychotherapist, Social Worker etc.)

I see individuals that:
May not meet government- funded regional treatment program intake criteria
Are waiting for in-patient or out-patient admission to a regional program
Are recently discharged from a higher level of care

I practice with an attentive, holistic, non-diet, and food inclusive approach to nutrition therapy. My practice revolves around a Health at Every Size (HAES, R) philosophy with the understanding that bodies are not actionable. I utilize nutrition-focused aspects of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) and Solutions- Focused Therapy with a Trauma informed lens. I employ a candid, compassionate, motivational and, strengths-based approach.

We will work together to unpack, process, rewire, and reframe your beliefs, thoughts, and experiences about health, diet, body image, and self-worth. You will be guided to develop deeper self compassion, resilience, mindfulness, connection with your body, and a healthier relationship with food. You will learn the fundamentals of gentle nutrition while building skills for application including meal planning, intuitive eating and much more! Our work offers a courageous first step towards healing your relationship with food and your body.

It is an honour to help those on their journey of eating disorder recovery, I look forward to hearing how I can best support you as you pursue a brighter chapter.

Cheers, Britt
